Picking Up Jax Nicole

We arrived at SEGA around 6:45 pm with our pack to check compatibility with our potential foster. Due to the high prey drive and limited socialization, it is important to make sure that Jax would not chase after our precious Chihuahua Elphie, who just happens to be about the size and shape of the mechanical rabbit that they are trained to chase at the track.

When they brought in Jax, it was immediately apparent how sweet she is: tail wagging and yearning for attention and affection. When we introduced Elphie, Jax was first curious but then aloof. It was clear that they would be fine together. We then took the opportunity to introduce Jax to our other 2 and as expected they all got along fine, with Jax more interested in exploring than anything else.

We loaded her into the car and were off. You could feel her excitement, looking out the window, seeing all sorts of new sites, smelling all sorts of new smells.

When we arrived, we lead Jax through the house so she would get an idea of the lay of the land. She walks extremely well of a leash! Then, all of a sudden, GLASS! Jax saw herself in the reflection and wanted to play!

Now it was time to conquer something she had never encountered...Stairs!
